I'm Andrew Vado, a New York-based commercial storyboard artist, director, and founder of Vado Studio and Little Rebel Studios.
For more than a decade, I've worked with agencies, directors, and production teams to turn ideas into images before cameras roll. My storyboards have helped shape campaigns for brands including Netflix, Amazon, Johnnie Walker, evian, Saucony, Lysol, and Hellmann's.
That work taught me something fundamental: the decisions that make a film compelling often happen long before production begins.
Today, I bring that same discipline to directing and producing finished films.
Built on the board
My career began with drawing.
Not simply illustrating a script, but solving the visual problems behind it: composition, performance, camera movement, pacing, and how one shot leads into the next.
Through Vado Studio, I've collaborated with creative agencies and production companies on commercial campaigns, branded entertainment, and narrative projects.
From evian's Mountain of Youth to Saucony's Hurricane 24 and Johnnie Walker's Squid Game campaign, I've worked at the point where creative ideas become production plans.
Some of those campaigns went on to receive recognition from organizations including Cannes Lions, the Clio Awards, the OBIE Awards, and the Telly Awards.
My role was storyboarding. The recognition belongs to the teams that brought those campaigns to life, and I'm proud to have contributed.
From storyboard artist to director
After years of helping other directors visualize their work, I wanted to carry that vision further.
Little Rebel Studios grew out of that ambition.
The studio brings traditional filmmaking discipline into a changing production landscape. We develop concepts, write, storyboard, art direct, produce, edit, and finish cinematic work using the methods that best serve each project.
Sometimes that means practical photography. Sometimes it means AI-assisted imagery. Often it means combining the two.
The tools have changed. My starting point hasn't.
Pencil before prompt. Story before spectacle.
A new chapter, recognized
In its first year, Little Rebel Studios earned seven award recognitions across three productions.
These films demonstrate different approaches to contemporary production: storyboard-led cinematic world-building, practical product photography combined with virtual environments, and original visual direction developed from concept through final cut.
The recognition matters because it validates the work, not just the technology.
Two studios. One creative foundation.
They're distinct practices connected by the same philosophy: every frame should have a reason to exist.
